I wondered what you would think about the Luke Skywalker cameo. I totally get your point about needing to move away from the Skywalker saga and show that the galaxy is a big place. At the same time, I’m not sure how the finale would have worked with any other character. The audience wouldn’t have had the same level of trust to give up Grogu, which was necessary to close that story arc, if it had just been some Jedi we had never seen before. You also have to remember that there aren’t many Jedi around, at that point. Even after reading that Dave Filoni wasn’t going to “use any of the big toys in the chest,” I still got the feels from the surprise.
