Celebrating the world’s finest purveyor of pop music.

When a label describes itself as “the world’s finest purveyor of pop music,” that’s a pretty bold claim. But Sweden’s Labrador Records can easily back it up.

Founded in 1997 by Bengt Rahm, and later merged with Johan Angergård’s Summersound Recordings, Labrador Records has since established themselves as a consistently excellent pop label. Which makes sense given their country’s rich musical history. (ABBA, anyone?) Not to mention their own high standards; on their “About” page, Labrador makes it clear: “We only sign bands that totally blow us away and that’s a very rare event.”
